Description This position is a unique opportunity to be a member of a fast paced, highly skilled, collaborative Design/Mechanical Engineering team. This position actively participates in the design, CAD Drafting, development of files required to prototype and manufacture all Parabit manufactured products. Job Tasks:

  • Create custom mechanical CAD components.
  • Update existing mechanical CAD drawings manufacturing engineering.
  • Create components for our 3D modeling design tool library referencing manufacturer's specification using Solidworks.
  • Use logic, mathematics, reasoning, experimentation, analysis tools, physics, calculus, and written communication skills to analyze and solve complex mechanical designs.
  • Remain current on leading-edge CAD technology, new materials, manufacturing processes and their potential application to our manufacturing facility.
  • Maintain file creation and versioning storage specifications.
  • Document all daily actions by completing, maintaining and submitting time logs by project.
  • Research best materials and design approaches for the development of parts/assemblies developed and drafted.
  • Develop part/product renderings.
  • Use company standard K factors while creating accurate solid models.
  • Create computer operated machine cutting files.

Requirement Qualifications:

  • Five (5) Years' experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of performing with a sense of urgency and occasionally changing to a project with increased priority.
  • Two (2) Years' experience with the creation of CAD Drawings for sheet metal fabrication
  • SOLIDWORKS 2010 and up

  • Conceptual Skills
  • Knowledge of machine file cut program creation and editing
  • Sheet Metal/CNC fabrication experience
  • Experience with the creation of CAD Drawings for CNC part fabrication
  • Knowledge of KeyShot
  • Knowledge of Visual Mill
  • Knowledge of Sigma Nest
